"Thought it cost too much for a basic room, poor excuse for a continental b'fast (ran out of milk for cereal and cream cheese for bagels within the first hour and not very clean or helpful). Couldn't get additional towels (asked maid, said they couldn't give us 2 and to ask front desk, asked front desk and they said they didn't have any clean towels and to ask housekeeping, again they said no). We had an unannounced visit from maintenance about an issue we didn't report even with the "Do Not Disturb" on the door, he banged loudly on the door. Not many attractions or things nearby (other than fishing) and when weather is bad you have to drive either to Oceanview, VA Beach area or downtown Norfolk. Finally opened up their restaurant for b'fast and lunch the day we left but had to go elsewhere before for any meal since their b'fast was a joke. Difficult to find if you come from downtown, taking same exit, the hotel and marina are not marked at all and it isn't intuitive to have to cross under an unmarked bridge to find it. 1 staff member very helpful, others rude and unhelpful. Boasts of a private beach (is a small strip of sand on the bay). Wouldn't stay there again ever. Paid too much and learned a few invaluable lessons."

The Days Inn Norfolk Marina Beachfront is located on the Chesapeake Bay with its own stretch of beach with fishing pier. For other on-site recreation, enjoy the Olympic-sized outdoor pool. A complimentary continental breakfast is served every morning. The property's two-acre picnic area and BBQ grills make impromptu cookouts and outdoor meals easy and convenient. Although there is not a full service restaurant, there are dining destinations nearby. The hotel is next to the popular Fisherman's Wharf Seafood Restaurant.

To suit guests' needs, the hotel offers meeting rooms, laundry valet, complimentary newspapers, wake-up calls, ice machines, copy and fax access, a 24-hour front desk, and free parking. The hotel allows small pets, but restrictions and fees apply. The Norfolk International airport is approximately 10 miles away. The hotel operates an airport shuttle, but advance notice is required.
